A Turkish company is constructing an entire town out of shipping containers at a remote gold mine in Saudi Arabia.
The site, located in a harsh desert environment near Riyadh, requires durable housing for workers. Sandstorms in the area are common.
Karmod, the construction firm, is installing prefabricated modular containers to create the temporary settlement. These units are built off-site and then assembled quickly.
This method allows for rapid construction in difficult locations. The containers provide immediate shelter and facilities for the mining operation's workforce.
