Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has received a new US proposal to end the war with Russia. His office announced the development on Thursday.
The proposal arrived during a meeting with a delegation of senior US military officials. Zelensky's team stated they will now examine the plan's details.
"We have agreed to work on the points of the plan so that it leads to a dignified end to the war," a statement from his office said. It also emphasized that Ukraine has consistently sought a peaceful solution.
Following the meeting, President Zelensky expressed his desire to discuss the proposal with former US President Donald Trump. Zelensky aims to ensure any peace agreement is fair and sustainable for Ukraine.
