English football club Arsenal will end its sponsorship deal with Visit Rwanda. The partnership will conclude at the end of the current season, removing the "Visit Rwanda" logo from the team's shirt sleeves.
The decision follows criticism directed at the club. Critics had highlighted Rwanda's human rights record and its alleged support for M23 rebel forces in the neighboring Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
The "Visit Rwanda" partnership began in 2018. After this season, the tourism authority's branding will no longer feature on Arsenal's playing kits.
