TikTok is investigating why some users cannot type the word "Epstein" in messages. The platform confirmed it is looking into the issue.
This problem follows other technical outages since TikTok's recent sale. The app was sold to a group of investors mostly from the United States.
One notable investor is Larry Ellison, the billionaire co-founder of Oracle. Ellison is a known political ally of former U.S. President Donald Trump.
The company has not stated if the blocking of "Epstein" is a technical error or a content moderation action. TikTok's internal investigation is ongoing.
