The European Commission has approved a second wave of funding to help eight member states boost their military capabilities.
Estonia, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, and Finland will receive financial assistance. The money comes from the European Peace Facility (EPF), a fund that supports joint defense actions.
This move signals the EU's continued focus on strengthening its collective security. The first wave of similar funding was approved earlier this year.
The EPF allows the EU to finance military and defense needs for its members and partners. Officials say the aid helps nations replace weapons donated to Ukraine and address urgent security gaps.
