President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says a major bilateral security agreement with the United States is finalized. The deal is described as providing long-term "security guarantees" for Ukraine.
According to Zelenskyy, the document is completely prepared. Only the logistical details for the official signing ceremony remain to be settled.
"We are waiting for the time and place to be determined for the signing," the Ukrainian leader stated. This anticipated pact is a key part of ongoing Western efforts to bolster Ukraine's defense against Russia.
