A 12-year-old boy has died after a shark attack at a popular Sydney swimming location known as Jump Rock.
The victim, identified as Nico Antic, was pulled from the water by friends immediately after the attack. He later died from his injuries.
Jump Rock, in Sydney Harbour, is a well-known spot for swimming and cliff jumping. Authorities have closed the area and are investigating the incident.
Local officials expressed their condolences. "We are heartbroken," a spokesperson said. They urged the public to avoid the water until further notice.
