A Turkish parliamentary commission has released the official transcript of a meeting with Abdullah Öcalan, the imprisoned leader of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK). The transcript details the discussion held on November 24, 2025, on İmralı Island. The meeting participants were members of the National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Commission: Gülistan Kılıç Koçyiğit from the DEM Party, Feti Yıldız from the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), and Hüseyin Yayman from the Justice and Development Party (AKP). The commission was established to address issues of national unity and democracy. This release makes the full content of the high-level meeting publicly available for the first time. Öcalan, who was captured in 1999, is serving a life sentence for terrorism and treason. The PKK is designated as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the United States, and the European Union.
