Former Harvard University President Larry Summers will temporarily stop teaching at the school. This pause coincides with an ongoing Harvard investigation into his past connections with the financier Jeffrey Epstein.
Summers previously held a part-time, unpaid professor position at the university. His decision to step away comes as Harvard conducts its review.
This is not the first time Summers has left a role over the Epstein matter. He has also stepped down from other positions following revelations about his long-term association with the convicted sex offender.
