Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza, college football's top player, is turning professional.
Mendoza won the Heisman Trophy this season. He announced Thursday he will enter the upcoming NFL Draft. Experts predict he will be the first overall selection.
His decision means he will forgo his final year of college eligibility. The move follows his recognition as "Person of the Week" by ABC's "World News Tonight" with David Muir.
The NFL Draft will be held this April.
