Lebanon Vows to Seize All Weapons, Demands Israeli Withdrawal

Lebanon's prime minister has pledged to bring all weapons in the country under state control. He made the declaration during a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron. Prime Minister Nawaf Salam told Macron that Beirut would proceed with its plan for a nationwide weapons monopoly. The term refers to a government's exclusive legal control over armed forces and weaponry. In the same talks, Salam also demanded that Israel stop violating the current ceasefire. He insisted Israel must withdraw from all occupied Lebanese territory. The meeting highlights Lebanon's dual focus: asserting state authority internally while confronting external security challenges.
