A Brazilian man has pleaded guilty to assaulting federal officers after a violent arrest in Hartford, Connecticut. Federal prosecutors say the incident occurred when Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers tried to take him into custody.
The man bit one ICE officer on the hand. He also spit on a second officer. Assault on a federal officer is a serious charge that can result in years of prison.
The man now awaits sentencing. A judge will decide his punishment at a later date.
