A final tribute was paid today to fashion icon Valentino Garavani in Rome. The designer, known simply as Valentino, died last week at 91.
Mourners included celebrities and fashion leaders. Actress Elizabeth Hurley and *Vogue* editor Anna Wintour were among those seen at the service.
Valentino was famous for his elegant designs and use of the color "Valentino red." His career spanned over 45 years, dressing royalty, film stars, and socialites.
His fashion house continues under creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli. The funeral marks the end of an era for the industry he helped define.
