House lawmakers have secured enough support to force a vote on a bill reversing a Trump-era labor rule. They used a special parliamentary procedure requiring signatures from a majority of House members.
The proposed legislation would restore collective bargaining rights for most federal employees. These rights were removed by a 2018 executive order signed by former President Donald Trump.
If passed, the bill would reinstate the previous bargaining system for federal workers. The upcoming vote will determine whether the measure advances through the House of Representatives.
