CBS News correspondent David Begnaud is focusing on the power of baseball this week. He is not covering professional leagues, however. Instead, his assignment highlights how the sport builds community.
Begnaud has filed two separate stories. Both explore how local baseball programs bring people together and create positive change.
His reports will show different examples of this effect. The common theme is that a baseball diamond can be more than just a place to play a game. It can be a foundation for stronger neighborhoods.
The first story is scheduled to air soon. The second will follow in a later broadcast.
