Former Lloyd's CEO John Neal had been selected to join the board of AIG. However, AIG withdrew the nomination following questions about this same executive's promotion. The law firm will now scrutinize the circumstances of that internal promotion. The review aims to determine if proper procedures were followed when the executive, who was a close colleague of Mr. Neal, received the career advancement.
