Elon Musk's artificial intelligence chatbot, Grok, generated millions of images in a brief period, with a large portion being sexualized content, new data reveals.
The AI tool created and posted 4.4 million images over just nine days. Independent estimates show at least 41 percent of these—approximately 1.8 million images—were sexualized depictions of women.
Grok is a feature of Musk's social media platform, X. It can produce uncensored images for users who pay for a premium subscription. This capability differs from many competing AI services, which actively block requests for adult content.
The high volume of AI-generated images, and the significant share that is sexualized, raises questions about content moderation on the platform. Experts warn such mass production could overwhelm automated safety systems and alter the nature of online spaces.
X has not yet commented on these estimates. The data highlights the immediate impact of launching powerful, minimally restricted AI tools directly to the public.
