Police in Uganda have arrested a former member of parliament. Muhammad Muwanga Kivumbi, who represented Butambala County, was taken into custody on Tuesday.
His arrest is linked to accusations of political violence. The alleged incidents took place during the general election in Butambala District on January 15, 2026.
