He stated that owning Greenland is a matter of national security for the United States. Goldberg argued on the talk show "The View" that such a move would set a dangerous precedent. She implied any nation could then try to buy another country's land. "No country on this planet is safe if he can just go, 'I want that,'" Goldberg said. Greenland is a large, self-governing Arctic territory. It is part of the Kingdom of Denmark. Both Danish leaders and Greenland's own government have said the island is not for sale.
