Holmes Asks Trump: Free Me From Prison

Convicted Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes has asked President Donald Trump to release her early from prison. She still has nearly six years left on her sentence. Holmes was found guilty in 2022 of wire fraud and conspiracy. Her crimes involved lying to investors about her company's blood-testing technology. A federal appeals court upheld her 11-year sentence earlier this year. A commutation from the president is now one of her few remaining options. It would free her from prison but would not erase her criminal conviction. The White House has not commented on the request.
