In a letter from prison, Turkish businessman and activist İnan Güney sent a message to his family.
Writing to his wife, Ayşen, and daughters Ela, Dila, and Zeyno, Güney described the emotional weight of his imprisonment.
"For a father, time flows most heavily here," he wrote from Silivri Prison, where he is being held.
He added, "But my head is held high. This captivity is a price I pay for the beautiful days of our homeland."
Güney was recently transferred to the high-security prison after being held at the Istanbul Courthouse.
