Second Death in Two Weeks at Texas Immigration Detention Facility

Victor Manuel Diaz, a 36-year-old from Nicaragua, was found unconscious in his room on January 14. The incident occurred at the Camp East Montana detention facility in El Paso. ICE stated that staff performed emergency procedures. Diaz was later pronounced dead at a local hospital. The cause of death is under review.
