A man has been seriously injured in a shark attack at Sydney's Little Bay. This is the third such incident in the area over two days.
In the first incident, a 12-year-old girl was injured at a beach near the city. Shortly after, an 11-year-old boy needed help when a shark bit his surfboard. He was not physically hurt.
All three attacks happened within a 36-hour period. Beaches along a 50-kilometer stretch of coast are now closed. Officials are using drones and helicopters to search for sharks.
Experts say the attacks are highly unusual. They note that multiple bites in quick succession are rare for Sydney.
