Only 31% of Singapore residents now believe the next generation will be better off. This marks an 11-point drop from last year.
The finding comes from the Edelman Trust Barometer 2026. The global survey measures public trust.
Singapore's decline is among the largest in Asia. It is one of only five Asian nations with a double-digit drop in optimism.
The city-state's figure now sits just below the global average of 32%.
This year's result is the 26th edition of the annual study. It highlights a significant loss of confidence in future living standards.
