New research reveals some dogs can learn new vocabulary simply by overhearing human conversations. The study, published in the *Journal of Science*, shows certain dogs acquire words without formal training. They learn by casually observing and listening to their owners' daily interactions. Lead scientist Dr. Shany Dror explained the findings. "It means dogs might pick up words just by being exposed to them in their home environment," she said.
