The Liberian government will soon require all mining companies to apply for licenses online. The change aims to modernize the country's mining sector.
Officials announced the new digital system this week. The Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) will manage the online portal.
The current paper-based application process will stop on February 15, 2026. After that date, all mineral rights applications must be submitted digitally.
