Ukraine's Prime Minister has announced that Russia has now damaged every thermal and hydroelectric power plant in the country.
Denys Shmyhal stated that the energy system has suffered 612 targeted attacks so far in 2025. This intense campaign has caused widespread, long-term damage to critical infrastructure.
The systematic strikes have led to severe, ongoing power shortages across Ukraine. Authorities are forced to impose daily blackouts for households and businesses.
Officials warn that repairing this level of destruction will be difficult and will take years. The attacks continue to threaten the country's electricity supply as next winter approaches.
