Spanish music icon Julio Iglesias has publicly denied sexual assault allegations made by two former employees.
In a statement, the 80-year-old singer called the claims "absolutely untrue." The allegations reportedly involve incidents said to have occurred decades ago.
Iglesias's legal team stated they are preparing a lawsuit for defamation. They argue the accusations are false and damage the singer's reputation.
The two accusers, who worked for Iglesias in the 1980s, have not been publicly named. Their allegations were first published in a Spanish newspaper.
Iglesias is one of the best-selling Latin music artists in history. He has maintained a largely private life since retiring from touring.
