A Hong Kong man accused of threatening to burn down five media outlets has described his actions as "mischief," a court heard. The threats demanded the publications run seditious articles.
Tse Chun-pan, 43, appeared in West Kowloon Court on Friday. He faces one charge of knowingly publishing seditious material and six counts of criminal intimidation. Tse identified himself as a social security officer.
The court granted his request to delay the hearing for two months. This allows his lawyers to continue plea negotiations with prosecutors.
