Liberia's Foreign Minister, Sara Beysolow Nyanti, met with a delegation of American energy investors on Tuesday. The high-level talks focused on a proposed power project that could significantly increase the country's electricity supply.
The potential project would add 300 megawatts (MW) to Liberia's national grid. This large amount of power is a key goal for the government's economic diplomacy plan, which uses international relations to foster growth.
Officials described the meeting as a major step forward for the initiative. The discussions mark progress in the effort to secure U.S. support for the energy sector and address Liberia's power needs.
