A coordinated Ukrainian defense repelled multiple Russian attacks north of the city of Kharkiv, resulting in significant casualties.
The Khartiia Brigade reported that its units stopped the assaults. Drone operators, artillery, and infantry worked together to target the advancing forces.
The brigade stated that approximately 70 Russian soldiers were killed in the failed attacks. It released video footage it says shows the defensive operations.
The reported fighting highlights continued pressure along the northeastern front. Russian forces have made incremental gains in this area in recent weeks.
Ukrainian military officials have repeatedly emphasized the importance of such coordinated tactics to counter Russia's advantage in troop numbers.
