A session of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) was temporarily suspended on Wednesday after a heated exchange of insults between lawmakers.
The disruption began when members of the opposition İYİ (Good) Party directed verbal attacks towards deputies from the DEM Party. The session's deputy speaker, Pervin Buldan, intervened to stop the insults.
However, the confrontation escalated. Some members then turned their insults toward Deputy Speaker Buldan herself.
In response, Buldan suspended the session for five minutes to restore order. Parliamentary proceedings resumed after the short break.
The incident highlights ongoing tensions within Turkey's parliament.
