A crane collapsed onto a major expressway near Bangkok on Tuesday, killing at least two people. This tragedy occurred just one day after a separate crane accident killed at least 32 people in northeastern Thailand.
The latest incident happened on the Kanchanapisek Expressway. The falling crane crushed at least one vehicle during the morning rush hour.
Rescue workers freed two survivors from the wreckage. They were taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
On Monday, a construction crane fell onto a moving passenger train in the northeast province of Chachoengsao. That accident caused one of Thailand's worst rail disasters in years.
Authorities have launched investigations into both incidents. The back-to-back crane collapses have raised urgent questions about construction site safety standards across the country.
