Iran’s foreign minister has issued a direct warning to the United States, urging it not to repeat a past “mistake” as the anniversary of a major attack approaches.
In an interview with U.S. media, Hossein Amirabdollahian stated Iran is prepared for diplomacy. However, he delivered a stark message to former President Donald Trump, saying, "technology cannot be bombed." This is a clear reference to Iran's advancing nuclear capabilities.
The "mistake" refers to the U.S. drone strike in June 2020 that killed a top Iranian general. The anniversary of that strike is this month.
Amirabdollahian also accused Israel of trying to start a wider war. He claimed Israel is inciting violence to drag the United States into a direct conflict with Iran.
The statement highlights Tehran’s dual position: open to talks but ready to defend itself. It comes during a period of high regional tension.
