Los Angeles has launched the first ticket lottery for the 2028 Summer Olympics. The initial phase is not a direct sale, but a random draw for the chance to buy tickets.
Selected applicants will be notified by email in April. They will then receive a specific time slot to purchase tickets. This system aims to manage high demand fairly.
The organizing committee announced that tickets will start at an affordable $28. This "first-come" draw is just the beginning of a multi-year sales process for the Games.
The lottery is open now through the official LA28 website.
