French Exiles Find New Lives "Off the Grid"
Three million French citizens live outside France. A team from France 2 television traveled the world to meet some of them. These expatriates have moved to remote places. They live in the snowy highlands of Quebec, on a desert island in Guinea-Bissau, and deep in the forests of Ivory Coast. They are chasing childhood dreams. Their goals are a closer connection to nature and integration into new communities and cultures. They have built these new lives thousands of kilometers from home.
