A prominent Nigerian journalist and political figure has publicly accused Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno of deceit. Michael Bush, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), made the accusation against the governor, who is a member of the same party.
Bush specifically criticized the governor's "Akwa Ibom United" political slogan. He labeled the phrase as misleading and demanded a public apology for what he calls the deception of the people.
The remarks were reported by the news organization Premium Times. Governor Eno's office has not yet issued a response to the allegations.
