Walmart's Drone Fleet to Deliver to 150 U.S. Stores

Walmart is dramatically expanding its drone delivery program. The retailer announced it will add the service to 150 stores across the United States by the end of this year. This expansion will make Walmart's drone delivery network one of the largest in the country. The service uses automated drones to fly packages from stores directly to customers' yards. Customers can order tens of thousands of eligible items. These include groceries, snacks, and household essentials. Deliveries are completed in 30 minutes or less for a small fee. The drones operate autonomously along pre-approved flight paths. A certified pilot monitors each flight remotely for safety. Walmart first launched drone delivery in 2021. The company says the goal is to provide a fast and convenient option for last-minute needs.
