A suspect is in custody after a fire was set at the oldest synagogue in Mississippi on Saturday morning.
The suspect has been charged with arson for the attack on Beth Israel Congregation in Jackson.
This is not the first time the historic house of worship has been targeted. The synagogue, founded in the 1860s, was previously damaged by a bomb in 1967.
Local authorities and fire crews responded quickly to the Saturday incident. The investigation is ongoing.
