Syrian security forces have discovered and dismantled a large cache of explosives in Aleppo. Authorities state the weapons were planted by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and meant for terrorist attacks.
The operation took place in the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood. According to the Interior Ministry, the arsenal included prepared car bombs, suicide drones, and explosives. These were hidden inside homes and along streets.
The ministry accused the SDF, a U.S.-backed Kurdish-led militia, of preparing the weapons for terrorist use. The SDF has not yet commented on these allegations.
The discovery highlights ongoing tensions and security operations in northern Syria. The region remains divided between government control and areas held by other armed groups.
