A Syrian government minister has accused the YPG/SDF of carrying out 360 attacks on Aleppo neighborhoods in the past week. The YPG/SDF is a Kurdish-led militia. Syria labels it a terrorist group.
The claims were reported by Syria's state news agency. They come from the country's Minister of Local Administration. The minister did not provide evidence for the number of attacks.
Despite the reported violence, the governor of Aleppo stated that life is slowly improving in two central districts. He said normalcy is returning to the neighborhoods of Ashrafieh and Bani Zaid.
The situation highlights the complex reality in northern Syria. Aleppo remains divided between government control and areas held by other armed groups.
