Jordan and the United States have pledged continued support for Syria's government.
The commitment was made in a meeting between Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ayman Safadi, and the U.S. Special Envoy for Syria, Tom Barrack, in Amman on January 10.
Both officials reaffirmed support for the Syrian government's efforts to maintain the country's security, sovereignty, and unity. They also backed its work to ensure stability and the safety of all Syrian citizens.
The talks highlight ongoing diplomatic engagement with Damascus amid Syria's prolonged crisis.
