Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has stated that security and stability in Syria are essential for the well-being of the country's people.
He made the remarks during a press conference in Ankara with Indonesia's Foreign Minister, Retno Marsudi, on January 9.
Fidan also emphasized that the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) must comply with a previous agreement. He referred to the "March 10 agreement" made last year, though he did not provide further details.
The SDF is a U.S.-backed alliance in Syria that Turkey views as a terrorist group linked to Kurdish militants.
