Kenya's Supreme Court has a new representative on the powerful Judicial Service Commission (JSC).
Lady Justice Njoki Ndung'u was elected unopposed to the position. She replaces the late Justice Mohammed Ibrahim, who previously held the seat.
The JSC is a key constitutional body. It oversees the hiring and discipline of judges and other judicial officials in Kenya.
Justice Ndung'u's unopposed election means no other Supreme Court judge applied for the role. She will now serve as the court's voice on the commission.
