Hong Kong Rugby Star Charged With Assault, Damages Police Cell

A professional rugby player in Hong Kong has been charged with indecent assault at a bar and damaging property inside a police station.
Faizal Solomona Penesa, 33, appeared in Eastern Court on Friday. The Samoan national faces one count of indecent assault and one count of criminal damage.
Prosecutors state the assault occurred on September 28 last year at Bobby’s Rabble bar in Central. The alleged victim was another patron.
Penesa was arrested and taken to the Central police station. While in custody, he is accused of damaging a door bolt inside the station.
The case has been adjourned. Penesa is currently released on bail.
