Syria to Open "Safe Corridor" for Kurdish-Led Forces in Aleppo

A Syrian government source says a secure exit route is being prepared for the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) to leave a neighborhood in Aleppo. The Internal Security Forces, working with the Syrian Arab Army, are organizing the corridor from the Sheikh Maqsoud district. The plan is for SDF members to depart towards northeastern Syria. The same source directly addressed residents of Sheikh Maqsoud and the adjacent Ashrafieh district. They were assured that civilians will be able to return to their homes "soon." The announcement did not provide a specific timeline for the operation or the return of civilians.
