The CEO of UK supermarket chain Sainsbury's has forecast a continued drop in food inflation this year.
Simon Roberts made the prediction after the company reported its Christmas sales figures, which fell short of market expectations.
"We’ve seen food inflation come down and... we’d expect that to continue," Roberts told reporters.
His statement points to ongoing relief for shoppers after a prolonged period of rising grocery costs.
