A senior Syrian security official has personally supervised the legal procedures for detained fighters from the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
Colonel Mohammad Abdul Ghani, the internal security commander for Aleppo Governorate, oversaw the process on Thursday. The individuals were arrested in Aleppo's Ashrafieh district.
The colonel emphasized full adherence to the detainees' rights. He stated procedures must follow Syrian law and international humanitarian law.
The SDF is a U.S.-backed alliance of Kurdish and Arab militias. It controls large parts of northeastern Syria but is designated as a terrorist organization by the Syrian government.
