The Syrian Ministry of Defense declared a ceasefire on Friday in three neighborhoods of Aleppo: Sheikh Maqsoud, Ashrafieh, and Bani Zaid.
Officials stated the move aims to end military operations in these areas. The goal is to create conditions for restoring state law and official institutions.
A ministry statement cited "full concern for the safety of our civilians in Aleppo" as the reason for the halt in fighting.
The affected districts have been sites of conflict. This ceasefire represents a significant local de-escalation in Syria's long-running war.
