U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents reported a dramatic increase in dangerous incidents last year. Department of Homeland Security data shows a shocking rise in targeted violence.
The most severe threat came from vehicular attacks. These incidents, where individuals used cars as weapons against officers, increased by 3,200% compared to the previous year.
Other threats also soared. Physical assaults on ICE personnel rose by 1,300%. Reported death threats against agents jumped by 8,000%.
The Department of Homeland Security described the overall surge as "unprecedented." The data highlights significantly heightened risks for federal officers during routine operations.
